Roundabout Expedition Leg 14


R/V Thomas Washington KGWU CK56 292115Z January ‘89 We left Suva on 25 Jan and
steamed northeast across the Hunter Fracture Zone and through the Lau Islands
via Lakemba Passage.  We have been making a seismic reflection survey of the
Western Lau Basin to look for potential ODP drill sites.  Seismic system is
working well thanks to constant efforts by Perry Crampton.  We will make a brief
port stop in Nuku Alofa on 1 February and then head out on Leg 15.  J. Hawkins,
