lakecrescent Lake Crescent, WA Project Location: Lake Crescent is a deep glacially carved lake occupying portions of two steep-sided fault-controlled valleys. The lake dates to around14 ka, following retreat of the Juan de Fuca lobe of the Cordilleran ice sheet to the east. The depth of the lake is ~190 m deep. Survey Dates: 19-20 May 2013 Sub-bottom System: Edgetech SB512i Pulse Duration: 20 ms CHIRP Frequency: 2-12 kHz Survey Method: Surface towed using a small catamaran behind a small boat. The SB512i was suspended from four chains beneath the catamaran at a depth of 1.0 ± 0.1m. Layback is 10 ± 1.0 m.
